About The Inside Scoop
You're going to a restaurant for the first time. You want to know: what should I actually order? So you start scrolling through Google reviews, skimming blog posts, watching TikToks, trying to piece together which dishes are worth it. It takes forever, and you're never sure you found the right answer.
The Inside Scoop does that research for you. We analyze dozens of recent reviews for any restaurant, identify patterns in what diners recommend, and generate a report with the must-order dishes, insider tips, and everything you need to know before you walk in. Think of it as having a well-informed friend who's already been there.
We also curate best-of directories for major cities, built from trusted sources like the Michelin Guide, Canada's 100 Best, and dozens of regional food publications. You can read more about how everything works on our methodology page.
Who's behind this
Hi, I'm Clement Lo, a Toronto-based foodie who's always up for trying new restaurants, new dishes, new cuisines. The Inside Scoop started as a personal project. I was tired of the research ritual before every dinner reservation, so I built a tool to do it for me. It worked well enough that I thought others might find it useful too.
This is an independent, personal project. There are no paid placements, no sponsored listings, and no outside investment behind the site.
